LCSS employs quality instructors and proven teaching techniques. Our instructors are US Sailing certified, and many have extensive racing experience. All staff members receive CPR and Red Cross certification.

A volunteer Board of Directors, most of whom are sailors themselves, oversees all classes and the curriculum. The Optimist and Club 420 classes are offered in conjunction with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board. The school keeps its costs as low as possible, and operates only with the help of charitable donations.
