Intermediate Optimist Sailing
This class is designed for younger and smaller students, ages 8-11, who have taken Beginning Optimist at least once and demonstrated a good comfort level on the water.
Under close instructor-student contact, sailors learn to become independent skippers by handling the sail and steering the boat at the same time, further improving boat handling skills and confidence under a variety of wind conditions.
Students can register for both morning and afternoon classes, and are encouraged to continue in additional sessions if they enjoy this class.
